Many homes on Keystone's acreage, and some older Odessa properties, draw from private wells that can carry iron, sulfur or fine sand. Sand is the one that most often stops an appliance: it lodges in washer and dishwasher inlet screens and in refrigerator water valves, and it can scratch valve seats until they leak. If you see grit in a filter or at a faucet aerator, mention it when you book.
Septic systems matter as well. A dishwasher or washer drain that backs up may be a pump or hose problem, or it may be the septic line. We check the appliance first and tell you which one it is.
Humidity on the Water
Lakeside homes see heavy humidity, and refrigerators show it as sweating on the cabinet between the doors. A small heater there keeps it dry, and when it fails the sweating gets worse. Torn door gaskets cause the same symptom and are a simple fix.
