Houses, Apartments & Condos Across the Tampa Bay Area
Bosch is the lead label of BSH, the German appliance maker that also owns Thermador and Gaggenau. Its US reputation rests on quiet 24-inch dishwashers, and the lineup adds slim refrigerators, wall ovens, induction tops and stacked 24-inch laundry. We start with how a Bosch is meant to behave, since condensation drying and float-switch shutdowns are often mistaken for faults. Then we test the specific pump, valve, heater or board involved and confirm parts timing before you approve anything.

A Damp Load Is Not Always a Fault
Bosch is the flagship label of BSH, the German group that also owns Thermador and Gaggenau, and here it is known mainly for 24-inch dishwashers. Most skip the exposed heating coil. A hot final rinse warms the dishes, then the cool stainless tub pulls the moisture off them. Some models add a tray of zeolite, a mineral that warms up as it takes on moisture.
Glass and stoneware dry well that way. Plastic stores almost no heat, so containers stay wet even on a healthy machine. Try rinse aid and crack the door once the cycle ends. If plates and glasses are also coming out wet, the heater or the rinse-aid dispenser deserves a test.
Water in the Base Pan and the E15 Code
Beneath the tub of most Bosch dishwashers sits a plastic tray holding a float switch. Water that reaches the tray lifts the float, and the machine halts and shows E15. The shutdown is protective. Something is leaking, whether a sump seal, a door gasket, a split hose or a loose fitting at the pump.
Tilting the machine back to empty the tray clears the code for a while, but the drip remains and the code returns. Turn off the breaker and the supply valve, then let us trace where the water starts.
Drain Faults and the Pump-Mounted Heater
E24 and E25 point to drainage. Glass chips, fruit pits and soggy labels slip past the filter and jam the drain pump impeller or prop the check valve open. A cleared filter and pump fix many of these calls, and we check the drain hose loop and the disposer knockout while we are there.
Bosch builds the wash heater into the circulation pump housing. Lukewarm washes and poor drying can therefore mean a whole pump assembly instead of a simple element, a bigger part that is sometimes a special order. We prove the heater has failed with resistance and temperature readings first.
Stacked Laundry, Induction Tops and Slim Fridges
The 24-inch Bosch washer and dryer turn up in condos and hall closets. The washer hides a small drain filter behind a front panel that collects coins, hair ties and lint, and its door boot needs to dry between loads. The ventless condensation dryer must have its condenser rinsed or drying slows badly.
Bosch induction cooktops rely on a fan drawing air from below to cool their electronics. A blocked intake gap in the cabinet, or a tired fan, leads to shutdowns mid-meal. The counter-depth fridges get ordinary fan, defrost and icemaker trouble, with less room to work on them.
Parts Timing and the Repair Decision
Wear parts for Bosch are usually easy to get, though some European-spec pieces take longer and a few come only as a full assembly. At the diagnosis we say whether the part is on the van or must be ordered, and what the machine can still do meanwhile. On a newer unit, check manufacturer coverage first.
If the stainless tub and racks are in good shape, replacing a pump, valve or sensor on a Bosch dishwasher is money well spent. A main board on an older machine is a closer call. Induction tops and built-in refrigeration cost enough that larger repairs usually pay, and a stacked pair built into a closet is hard to swap.
