Asko Repair for Dishwashers, Washers and Dryers
On an Asko, the stainless structure almost always outlasts the small parts that fail around it. We trace the fault to that part, explain what it is and what it will take to get, and give you the price before starting.

Houses, Apartments & Condos Across the Tampa Bay Area
Asko dates to 1950 in the Swedish town of Vara and today belongs to Hisense, which acquired it along with Gorenje. The brand specializes in quiet premium dishwashers and compact stackable laundry built with more stainless steel inside than most competitors use. We work an Asko systematically, following the drain path, then the door hardware, then sensors and controls, because the stainless tub or drum is rarely what failed. Parts arrive through import distribution, so we tell you at the diagnosis whether yours is a quick order or a longer wait.

Built in Sweden for Small Rooms
Asko traces back to 1950 in the Swedish town of Vara. For decades it built dish and laundry machines for Nordic households with modest kitchens and utility rooms, and the North American range still reflects that: stackable 24-inch front-loaders and matching dryers, plus quiet three-rack dishwashers. Ownership passed to Gorenje and then, with Gorenje, to Hisense.
In Tampa we find Asko in two settings above all. One is a downtown or Harbour Island condo where a stacked pair fits a hall closet. The other is an open-plan kitchen where the owner chose a dishwasher that would not drown out conversation.
Stainless Inside, and What That Does to the Math
Where competitors mold a tub or drum from plastic, Asko tends to use stainless, and it does the same with a fair number of internal components. Stainless does not crack or corrode the way plastic tubs eventually do. So when an Asko quits, the shell is usually healthy and the culprit is something smaller: a pump, a spring, a switch, a sensor or a board.
That makes repair the normal answer well into a machine's life. The picture shifts if the main control dies on an aging model and replacement boards are hard to find, or if wear has reached several big components at the same time. Then we set the repair price beside the years the machine realistically has left, and the choice is yours.
Following the Water on a Drain Fault
Standing water in an Asko dishwasher most often starts at the sump filters. Skip cleaning them and food waste works its way to the drain pump. Our check covers the filters, the pump, the fill valve and the overflow tray under the tub, whose float switch will halt the machine if it detects a leak.
Asko washers hide a small service hatch at the bottom front, and behind it is a trap that catches lint, coins and hair ties before they reach the pump. Ignore it long enough and draining slows until a cycle stops with water still in the drum. In homes with heavy mineral scale, inlet screens on both machines can also clog and starve the fill.
Doors, Springs and Locks
Integrated Asko dishwashers carry a custom cabinet panel, and that extra weight is hard on the hinge springs and the cables that tie them to the door. Eventually the door flops down on its own or refuses to hold a half-open position. We fit new spring hardware and set the tension for the actual weight of your panel.
Laundry doors have their own failure point: a lock or lock switch that quits and keeps the cycle from starting. Mildew in the rubber boot of a front-loader that is shut tight through a humid week is a cleaning issue, not a defect. Asko condenser dryers need clean lint filters and a clear condenser path, and a clogged one dries slowly or not at all.
Ordering Imported Parts Without Surprises
Asko parts reach the US through import distribution. Routine wear items are not hard to get, but certain boards and parts tied to one model can be slow. You will hear at the diagnosis which group your part belongs to, and we will not quote a delivery date we have no control over.
While the machine is open we also inspect its door seals, hoses and pump housing, so you hear about upcoming wear now rather than on the next breakdown. If the unit may still be under the manufacturer's coverage, we say so first, because that route could cost you less.
Looking for model numbers, recall notices or warranty registration? Those live on the manufacturer's own site: Asko official site. We are an independent repair company and are not affiliated with Asko.
