Houses, Apartments & Condos Across the Tampa Bay Area
Countryside Mall opened in 1975 as the commercial hub of a larger residential development, and the Countryside Country Club and Countryside High School are nearby. Most of the ZIP is in the City of Clearwater, with unincorporated pockets in between, and water comes from either the city or Pinellas County Utilities depending on the street. Very little of 33761 is in a surge zone, though its manufactured-home communities still leave under any evacuation order.

Garages That Run Hot
Houses here are mostly one- and two-story homes from the 1970s and 1980s with attached garages, and the washer and dryer usually live in the garage or a laundry room next to it. Plenty of garages also hold a second refrigerator or a chest freezer.
A garage in August can sit well above the temperature range many refrigerators are designed for. The compressor runs nearly nonstop, the condenser coils clog with dust, and the fresh-food side may warm up while the freezer stays cold. Clean coils, room to breathe and a working condenser fan go a long way. Some older garage fridges are not worth a new compressor, and we will say so.
Villas and 55-Plus Communities
Villas, townhouses and age-restricted neighborhoods fill a good part of Countryside, and many residents are seasonal. Before you leave for the summer, shut the washer supply valves, switch off the ice maker and leave the dishwasher door slightly open so the tub dries. If the community office needs vendor details or a gate code, include them when you book.
Countryside's manufactured-home communities share the limits common to park homes: compact ranges, narrow refrigerators, and a washer and dryer in a closet with little airflow. A dryer that shuts off mid-cycle in a closet like that often has a restricted vent or a door that blocks the air it needs, and the fix may be as simple as clearing the duct. The technician checks that before replacing a thermostat or fuse.
