About Sharp Refrigerator Repair
Sharp is a household name for microwaves, but its full-size refrigerators are a newer arrival in North America. The current line includes French-door and bottom-freezer designs, some in counter-depth sizes, with frost-free fan-forced cooling, electronic controls and, on many models, ice makers, water dispensers or flexible-temperature drawers. A shorter service history means parts support varies by model.
A common call goes like this: the fresh-food side is warm while the freezer still holds temperature. On this kind of refrigerator, cold air is made at the freezer evaporator and pushed to the fresh-food side. When a defrost heater, sensor or control fails, frost builds on the evaporator and blocks that airflow. A fan that has worn out, often getting noisy first, causes the same symptom.
French doors add a weak point at the hinged flipper mullion where the two doors meet. If it does not fold correctly or a gasket has lost its shape, humid air gets in, and in a Tampa summer that shows up as sweating along the center seam and frost in the freezer. Make sure nothing on the shelves keeps a door from closing fully, and watch the flipper as the left door shuts.
Ice makers stop when the water valve, fill tube or module fails, and fill tubes can freeze solid. Confirm the supply valve is open and the filter is current. After a storm outage, give the refrigerator several hours to recover before judging it. If it still has not pulled down, note whether you hear the freezer fan when the compressor is running, since that detail helps the diagnosis.
We take temperature readings and test the defrost components, fans, ice maker, valve and control. Because the line is newer here, we look up parts availability for your exact model at the visit, since that can decide whether repair is practical. Defrost, fan, gasket and ice maker repairs are usually worth doing. A sealed-system fault or a hard-to-source board changes the picture, and we explain it.

- French-door flipper mullion or gasket letting humid air in
